  2. Working as a nurse in Australia from India requires meeting several rigorous criteria. Firstly, candidates must hold a valid and recognized nursing qualification, followed by securing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Proficiency in English is mandatory, often demonstrated through IELTS or OET exams. Relevant work experience is highly advantageous as it ensures familiarity with practical healthcare procedures. Obtaining a suitable visa, such as the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa, is essential for legal employment. Moreover, candidates must undergo a skills assessment conducted by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) to verify that their qualifications meet Australian standards. It is also crucial to have a thorough understanding of the Australian healthcare system and its regulatory framework. Lastly, possessing strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity is vital for effectively working and adapting to Australia's diverse workforce and patient population.
